Hunter

Finished! :)

I don't know why the head looks weird to me, maybe it's the perspective, I don't know if I should make it orthographic next time when I render. (Also need to get better at head sculpting)

This is Hunter, he actually doesn't/cant speak, I have one more to go, though I think I'm going to work on Wayles next.

Next up

I have been somewhat not productive lately. Too bad I lost the momentum I had when I made Archer.

Anyway, dragging my feet trying to finish the next picture. Hopefully I will finish it next weekend.

Fiat Lux

I have always been a fan of Sergio Toppi's style, so I attemped to draw my mech in that style.

Only 1% digital, just to add the white and contrast in PS.  Done with markers and pen.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1-3

Humpbac

Next WAYLE - Humpbac. Inspired by the humpback whales.

This was made before 2015, I just decided to finish it up now. Since humpback whales have a lot of bumps on their heads, I decide to use some kind of sensors to represent them,  originally I was using a spherical design for the sensors, but decided to use cylinder shapes.

I went with the black/yellow bumblebee color scheme.

Archer

Want to practice a little more with human heads.

Archer. Again, I wasn't going after a realistic human facial feature, more animish.

Levi

New post of the year!

I've been working on some  pictures during the break, but for some reason I couldn't finish them. I feel like my skills right now could't bring my visions to life.

Don't remember the exact reason of why I wanted to create Levi. This is my time making a "human"  sculpt and I surely learned a lot. I realized that I really need to go back to learn anatomy.

I think this took about 2.5 weeks, I wanted to give up so many times because of the frustrations but nonetheless, I finished it.

I used mostly the Brave Act figure pictures as my references. Think I did the best job on the hair. I purposely did not want to make Levi look realistic!  Because I feel like making anime characters look like real people is just weird... especially someone like Levi, I just can't imagine him looking like a real person.

Scifi Soldier

First time doing the photo/paint bash picture. It was difficult at first but then it got a little bit easier.I made the concept  around early October, but I put it on hiatus because it didn't get anywhere, I restarted working on it around last week, took about 2 weekends to finish it...

Original concept. Feel like the text could add more emotion.
